Everybody I meet will influence or Inspire me in some way or another.
Here are some key people I need to mention that have
been with me throughout my journey
so far and continue to support me :
My Son - He is my drive and my inspiration in all that I
do.
Leon Rose- This guy should inspire all of us. He
hasn't spent his entire life studying dance through college and
University, yet he is recognised as one of the biggest names in
Salsa worldwide. He is a naturally talented Individual without a doubt, but also
hard work and a lot of self motivation accompanied by that exuberant personality
add to this talent.
My Daddy Clayton of Salsa Calientita- My Daddy not only
introduced me to the world of Salsa.
His love
for Salsa inspires me & I am proud to
be his daughter and to share his passion for the
dance.
Everyone who
turns up for a class/ club with a smile on their face and a positive energy. To
see people on the dance floor embracing the music, connecting with their partner
and enjoying the experience is a true inspiration.
Tamambo - He is like my Brother
gently encouraging me to do that little bit more, that little bit
better in all aspects of my dancing/ teaching/ performing. Another great
talent, he is getting better all the time .
Phillip L'Anglais (Salsa Wizard) - A lot of
people forget to mention this guy and he has played a part in so many peoples
development .
He has
always believed in me and has taken time in helping to develop my
dancing. Encouraging me all the time.
My first ever
performances were with the Salsa Wizard.
My Step Mum Debbie Thomas also of Salsa Calientita -
Always shows genuine interest in what I am doing, and giving me ideas and
opinions ( I truly value the input) to keep me developing my
dancing.
Those of you
who come to my lessons and look to me as your inspiration -
You keep me motivated to continue to learn and keep it fresh so that I
can pass it on to you.
I have had the
privilege of working with and learning from so many and it is a continuous
development.
When you
train with someone it definitely influences the way you dance - it is inevitable.
There are so many
Andrea Stewart, Iris De Brito, Deanne Chandler, Marchant
Birch
Miraim Oppel- I love working with Miriam, we just have
such a great vibe between us. She is so knowledgeable and respectful at the same
time. We have a blast.
Simone Mowen: Fabulous dancer/ performer - Always "Real"
with me.
I have
never known anyone with such a keen eye, she knows the value of hard work and
she is not afraid of it. Working with Simone is excellent, the energy
she brings is amazing.
The guys that I
am dancing with influence the way I dance. I am responsive to the guy and the
music. If I can connect to the music through the guy then that makes the dance
so beautiful.
Too many names to mention, but all very important in
the roles they play.
